Hey guys.

Here is my question I am getting ready to repaint my car this spring. I want to put a body kit on it as well. I figure while im repainting the body, now would be a good time to kit it. I am thinking a blitz kit. but the problem is that im not sure what to do with the rear bumper.
I have a 95 talon tsi awd.Ive herd different stuff about needing a eclipse rear bumper and reverse lights? Why is this? I know that on the talon the reverse lights are located on the tail lights, and on the eclipse they are positioned lower on the rear bumper. Is there a way to fabricate the blitz bumper to fit the talon body and tail lights? like maybe cut it or fiberglass the gaps or open spaces?
I searched for some answers, but i couldant find anything really solid or helpful. Any help would be great. Any advice or a link. I'll take whatever I can get.
Thanks you guys rock!

If you want to keep your Talon tails you'll have to do some fabbing. The kits are made for the eclipse and their tails are a lot different. Most people just find it easier to go with the whole eclipse rear end rather than trying to fab up the bumper for the talon.

I really have a hard time believing you searched.

Even looking about halfway down this page I found this thread called TALON REAR BUMPER http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=216498

hey i already fabricated a blitz rear end to fit a talon, and i would be willing to make one for you if you wouldnt mind shipping the item to me... i am partners in a business called twisted image east coast customs.... check out my site TIECC.net, you can see the work we do and check out the talon rear i made, its on the orange car pictured here and on the site...

Looks good but couldn't you get rid of the holes for the eclipse reverse lamps since you still have your talon reverse lamps.

i was going to get rid of them but im going to put reverse lights in there too, just probably connect some strobes in there and that will be good enough... yeah i have the reverse lights in there now, just never bought the strobes... just working on my interior now... doing a full glass interior, and vertical doors right now...

I have a 95 talon with blitz front and bomex sides and stock rear bumper and i think it looks good. I didnt want to change my talon taillights and didnt want to pay to have a aftermarket rear bumper modified so i left it and it came out nice. Check out my gallery for pics.:thumb:

The talon custom rear looks great, but I would think it would look better if you put something in the stock reverse lights location.

Very nice custom blitz rear end, looks great. And j30, I would keep the stock talon rear bumper and check out AWDtsi1995s pic of his talon it looks...like woooow, with the stock rear, blitz front end and bomex sideskirts. Just food for thought.Or also the 97-98 talon body kit looks really great, and if you dont like the huge stamped eagle emblom like me then you could fill it with bond like we did on my friends and it looks great.

Hey guys.
Yes, I saw that pic (the orange one) and that is what I want to do. but im wondering what all would I need to do and change to make that happen? I want to do the work myslelf.
Would i just need to fill the reverse light holes? What other body work is involved?
I am also considering keeping the stock rear end. I like that look. Does anyone have more pictures of kitted talons with the stock rear bumper?
Thanks for your help

you have to change the whole upper end of the kit because the tail lights are so different... its a good amount of work but its worth it in the end.. i sent you a PM giving directions on where to start...

Hey whats up?
So again another body kit question. In my search to figure out my body kit problem
I started looking at the web site andysautosports.com and on their site they have a special catigory for eagle's and talon's separate from the mitsu and eclipse section.
They have a whole bunch of different kits for sale. My question is are these kits ready made to fit the talons? or are the same as the eclipse kit. Because if they are special made for the talon then I wont have to order the eclipse kit and modify the rear bumper to make it fit right? I called the 1800 # and asked, the guy i talked to said it would fit the talon but, he did'nt sound to knowledgable or sure of himself so anyone with experince with them please give me some feedback, or if you have ordered a kit for your talon from them let me know
thank you

-Scott

not one of the body kits on andysautosport.com is made for the talon stock tail lights. they all fit the eclipses and you will need eclipse tail lights to fit the kit. i've been searching myself to and its hard to find body kits for those stock lights

I have that rear bumper, and chances are you'll get it for like $50 cause it was made wrong, and you'll have to cut it alot.

Sorry I wasnt aware of that. But ethier way its still a good option . Better than having to cut up 2 bumpers and molding them ytogether .

Ok heres the update. I just spoke with another rep from Andys auto sport and he informed me that the kits located in the talon section ARE guaranteed to fit or a full refund is given. He sounded very knowledgable about the differinces in the rear bumper.
so there is hope for us talon owners who dont wanna swap tail lights! thanks for the help.
