2g factory moonroof install

I am in the process of buying a whole factory moonroof setup for my 95 eclipse. I just had second thoughts of doing in wondering if the factory moonroof will work in a car without a moonroof. Ive noticed on cars that come stock with them that the metal actually rolls inside of the car like to where the glass sits. Im not so sure that this is going to work... i need some help on this one... thanks in advance.

I didnt know moonroofs were an option. I thought they are all sunroofs. My civic hatch had a sunroof that slid into the top of the body so it was totally concealed. But there is not enough room on the 2g roof to do that.

I think he is calling a moonroof a sunroof, there werent any dsms with glass that slid into the roof. Who would want that anyway?! It looks so good open. I dont know about putting a factory power roof into your car but its easy to drop in a manual aftermarket one.

I've completely rebuilt my entire sunroof setup in my car. I can't tell you if your car will have a different roof layout, but make sure you install all of the proper drainage hoses if you go through with it.
