Well since November my car has been in the shop after being sponsored by Polk Audio. They are finnaly about done with the car. Two more weeks and its finished. I only have pics of the amp rack in the trunk and the sub enclosure. I didn't get pics of the door glass work and the top hatch fiberglass work. Here you go let me know what you think.

Congratulations. I think that we will all be very excited to see the final result. Man, we're starting to see some celebrity cars emerge from the pack with 99gst_racer doing adds, and I'm sure we'll see the this Polk Audio car from SlammedSilver99 soon after completion doing adds and such. Just don't mention the team trinity MOMO car :shhh: . Some people are a little skeptical about that deal and it leads to a lot of flaming.

Again, congratulations on your car getting sponsored. How about some details on the setup. 39,652 speakers with a bigalzillion watts (I was just thinking of the 2002 Polk/MOMO Civic Si)? Any screens, etc. It looks fairly tasteful at this point.

That looks like a nitrous bottle being glassed into the rear seating area.

Well the setup will be 3 12" subs, 3 momo 500x1 amps, and 1 800x4 amp for my components. I also have 6 sets of components I will have two in each door, oneset in the fiberglassed dash but that wont be done for about another month. then one set in the bottom peace of the rear hatch. the other one I havn't figured out were we are going to put the last set. Yes that is a bottle that is in there.

I got hooked by polk from actually having a few friends that are pretty well known from being sponsored by them. TJ Topper is one of my good friends who had this Prelude polk car that you all have probably seen in the magazines a few years ago and I also friends with Ryan Shutt who has two civics that are sponsored by polk audio. So that helped out a lot.

im currently working on my full fiberglass interior, although i have to pay for everything LOL, and its coming along... i have been pulling teeth trying to get a sponsor and its just about impossible.. i mean i have put 11k in my car, and quickly getting to the 12k marker and still nothing... you got lucky man... let me know if they ever decide to sponsor another dsm for show ### im all about the shows hahaha :)

There are a lot of people who want to know about being sponsored. There is a lot of good information out there, and in some instances such as this one, it is who you know that counts (not saying Slammed's car isn't worth sponsoring because it definately is). One thing that I noticed about Slammed and Racer's cars is that they both have good airbrush work, paint and body kits. Both are modified, but run well, nothing too wild. That seems like a good start. Remember, you don't have to be sponsored by the biggest names out there. Some sponsorships can come from shops trying to make a name for themselves and you can work your way up until you know the right people in the right places.

yeah i was just hoping that because all the work on my car was done by me, not some shop who i paid a bunch of money, that a company would see the talent that i have, and the car i made with a little bit of money and how much potential i have with a good chunk of money... i work at a machine shop where i made my own verticle doors, i make them for a lot of different cars, i do all my own paint and body work, my own interior work, so its just money that is holding me back.... with a sponsorship, I, not someone else, could make a front page car on a magazine... just hope that happens some day because i am working myself to death just to get some money to put into my car hahaha

What the companys look for really is how the car is put together is it clean is it something that a company wants to put there product and there name on the car, Is it possible to have this car covered by a magazine. There are really a bunch of things that they look at. I have some big name sponsors (Dunlop Tires, Rotora Brakes, The Glosser) so that also helps out and big thing is knowing people in the industry. It has taken me about 3 years to fully complete this car. I have gone through body work to paint jobs, to adding onto paint jobs so I can tell you that I have spent well over 60 grand on this car since I have had it. It just takes time.

yeah your car is awesome man i have to give it to you... i do all my own work so my total at my wholesale cost from my business i have put 11k and almost 12k, and i still have another 5k to spend on it within the next 2 months... so you figure if i got all of this done by the local shop it would be up there pretty high... i just wish i could get recognized and just get my name and my company out there... i do the work as well if not better than a lot of other companies out there, just they have the brand name and i dont so when you have no name for yourself business is hard, whether its sponsors or customers...
