I just bought a 96 GST and have been on this site and VFAQ the last 2 months or so reading up. The other night I took my Eclipse out and realized the headlights dont light up the road AT ALL. What do I do? I searched and found nothing. Most cost efficient and useful method please. Also is there a place I can order the stock foglights? I'm missing the complete driver side one. I also need the door boxes and window vents. Thanks guys.

Make sure the ground is good to the headlights. Make sure you have good battery voltage as suggested above. Polish your lenses with plastic polish. Install Sylvania Silver Star bulbs. That should just about do it.

Good Luck

Thanks guy I'll def check it out when I get her back from smog later today. She failed yesterday btu the guy who did it was a complete (insert word here) so we got another opinion and they said it failed most likely because the car was cold.

Do you have aftermarket projector headlights??? They are'nt very bright if you do, so you would have to deal with it or replace them. Also make sure that your headlight lenses arent all foggy from uv rays or whatever kills them. If they are foggy you can clean them up with some plastic polish.

If your headlights just arent bright enough you could mod you stock low beams with 9005 high beam bulbs (stock 9006) you will just need to aim them down so you dont blind people. if your electrical system is not up to par this wont do much. (bad grounds or something) but you can check this by seeing if your high beams are bright. (cause thats what ## low beams could look like)

you shouldnt have any problems because the high beam harnesses are the same wiring as the low.

im going to drop in some 9005 silverstars when i get the chance

here is a link for how to.
enjoy
