If you bought them new, the suggested demensions should be in the box they came in.. For Sealed/Ported Enclosures.

My 12" 6000's I belive needed..... .80 ish cuft for Sealed box.
I went 1.0 Cuft per sub, with light insulation.

Material to use for building it is MDF 3/4". Actually. They are 4000 Series so 1/2" would probably be fine. But I would still stick with 3/4"

The ports you can make out of PVC pipe. Cut to the demensions that the subs need. You can also use vents insted, but I wont explain that.

By plexiglass, do you just want a plexiglass view ontop or something?
Basicly, Cut a Square or whatever shape you want out of the box, router the edge, slip the plexi glass in, and screw it in. (pre-drill the plexi first) Its better if you use thicker plexi glass.

really dont go any thinner than 3/4 inch mdf you wont get a truly sealed box with mdf either. if you want a sealed box use industrial grade partical board. mdf lets air threw its just compresed saw dust with no glue partical borad has glue. if you want a really sealed up box use mdf and paint the inside of the box with fiberglass resin. give it a few coats and it will be really solid, particla board doesnt absorb the resin as well.

I wouldn't say ported if you are a beginer theres too much stuff to take into account for it to not sound like crap. Stay sealed till you build a few boxes and get acquainted with theories that go with this ish. 3/4" MDF is all there is DO NOT USE ANYTHING LESS!!! I cannot stress this enough. The amount of power you are going to use also depends on how big to make the box, a generic box I would build you would be 1.3-1.5 total shared airspace.

(L*W*H)/1728 = Airspace in cubic feet.

Have fun and don't get discouraged when it doesn't turn out the way you want it just start over :)
