Just wondering, because I just had the idea of cutting a vent hole in the hood of my 1G near the stock intake location. And was going to make a post on it, but theres no where to really do this at now.

Anyway has anyone ever tried cutting out that part of the hood nearest the stock air filter location? Its already a good shape in the skeleton under the hood, sort of a longated triangle..

It's likely that the bumper shape in that area will make airflow skip right over a hole there, and it may even cause a low-pressure area and actually draw air out.

which would be ok if you sealed the filter, and provided an under fender inlet similar to the oem..

better run a NACA duct on top.
