1g cup holder solutions?

Hey, I have a 92 GSX and I would like to know anything you guys have done to get a decent cup holder in there?

I have the cup holder thing that goes under the armrest compartment but it sucks. Drinks are usually too big so the lid won't close. And it's a pain to open up that thing every time for a drink.

What can I do?

Get a girlfriend to hold your drink....works for me.

now that I think about it. I have that problem too. I end up holding the drink between my legs *ahem* knee area..

Fortunately after many a time of learning.. I usually ask for one of those drink trays (McDonalds etc) and stick it on the floor .. now all I have to do is remember to keep it in the car for future uses.

if you can find one get one of the ones that kid of clipes onto your window gap. i used one on my s15 forever and it worked great. right now i just don't drink while driving. or if i do i have to hold it between my legs and by the time i get anywhere my balls are numb

Make your own, i am probably making one where i am gonna cut out the ashtray on my talon and put one in there .

I try to make sure the beverages I get have caps .

Okay, it's not exotic and maybe it's not pretty. But it's cheap, and it's less messy than setting a drink on the console "just for a second" (they fall off in a half-second. Always.)

Search eBay for "wedge cup", and ignore whatever brand of car they try to tie it to. It slides between the console and the edge of the passenger seat, and tosses behind the seat when you have a fat passenger.

Try to knab one off of a VW or something. The kind that will sit in the extra DIN you have from the radio install kit and fab it up. Pops open/pops closed.

The DIN racks are a little iffy on 2Gs because the radio slot is at such an angle. There's always a few on eBay, the SAAB one with the coin drawer seems the most common. I don't know where this one with the CD drawers came from~
