Ok everybody and their mamma knows that the stock wing on the GS is a short three peice wrap around. I can easily tell that its connected at the sides of the hatch lid, but what about that little peice in the middle?(behind the LED brake lights) does that just go down and make contact with the hatch lid or (God forbid) is it bolted down on there? You see, i want to get the wings west three peice wrap around that is as tall as the turbo wings, but wraps like the stock wing. (in my opinion the only design flaw of the turbo wings was they weren't wide enough) Everybody around has those FREAKIN H-O-M-O rice aluminum wings or one of them odd shaped ones. u know what im talkin about. i want the tall round one but i dont know if there will be an ugly hole in the middle of my hatch lid. Thanks guys! heres a pic by the way....

I am pretty sure the center "pedestal" is bolted down. I have seen cars with removed spoilers and/or aluminum wings and they have a hole plugged with rubber or vinyl on the trunk/hatch. Kinda sucks that they gave us so many damn holes for 1 spoiler.

i know exactly what your talkin about man but i dont know if its bolted or not sorry

dude what are u talking about? the stock 97-99 turbo wings are sweeet. but i heard its pretty expensive to convert it.
$ for the wing
$ for filling up and painting the center part(professionally)

Yup, your looking at $500 (which includes the wing itself) to get it converted from a N/T to a 97-99 turbo wing, if you get done correctly, unless that is you have some hookups.

Where do you get those plugs?? I was thinking of replacing my wing, I got a good deal on one, but I don't have the time/money to have it done the right way until spring. I'd like to plug it up for now.

I got a differn't wing for my car, and in the middle pedestal part there is a pretty decent sized hole there.. and there is another tiny hole next to it for the LED wire to run through.. all in all when the wing comes off i think there are 16 holes.. I have the vinyl plugs in my holes intill i can get them filled.. I got them at Lowes.. but home depot or any hardware store should have them.. you have to get differn't sizes though.. I think That I had to buy like 3 or 4 differn't sizes..
hope that helps!

the "plug" may already be in there. I have no idea really. I have seen several cars with huge aluminum wings or what not on them and they have a rubber plug in the center hole. I have heard prices up to 800 on converting to the "turbo" spoiler.
