headlight issue

ok i tried to take my pass headlight out and when i undid all the bolts every single one of them snapped and the screws are still stuck in the holes. anyone know how to get them out so i cna atleast get the two top mounts back on? i sprayed the f*ck out of it with wd40 but they're so damn rusted they wont budge. i tried a screw driver and hammer (like a punch) but it didnt do sh*t. anyone have any ideas?

hey man im located in pittsburgh also actually... but anyways i didn't look at my lights much but one thing i know is they aren't comin up ... i figured the motors in them are just shot... help greatly appreciated

Try and easy out...or get your drill and tap some new threads then make a trip to the store for some new hardware. Don't go crazy with the drill size, the only thing that bolt threads though is a nut welded on the other side of the tin your headlight is mounted on.


Also, WD40 really shouldn't be used as penetrating oil, there are much better products available.

Get a easy-out set if you have access to the bolt. I'm not familiar with 1g lights. If that won't work, you might have to just yank them out and drill them out once you have better access to the bolts

PBBlaster is apparently this week's hot tip, and aren't the bolt holes open on the back side? If so, just use a drill just a bit smaller than the bolt, and it should spin the leftovers out as you get most of the way through the screw.
