if i were you i would buy the other wheels and paint them... only if you're going to drop the car though. They're 17's and so it might look a little high, but if you dont mind that do it!
But then again, i think if you painted your stock rims black, it would look pretty nice too. That's just my opinion.

PS- if you dont buy the GSX wheels, will you PM me as to where you found them!! i've been looking for them! thanks

good luck

I would of found some more, but the gallery timed out on me and pictures wouldnt come up. I know theres a few people who have gunmetaled there stock 17's on there GSX's.

I'll follow up 98_silvergs again and state that I have the stock 17" wheels powdercoated black on my ride.

If you are an idea of what they may look like [keep in mind my car is lowered 1.8"] have a look that the car in the gallery.

My vote is that you grab those wheels for 200 bucks, tape of the lip, and paint them the color of your choice.

I l like the idea of the GSX wheels painted a black or Dark Grey Gunmetal color. To me the key element would be to tape off the lip so it looks a little more high end than just I did it myself. No offense to anyone who painted the whole rim though.
The smaller the wheel the more I would paint the whole wheel. If you have 16'inch and you are not going to lower the car with springs, then you must paint the whole stock wheels. I like the cars shown on this thread with black wheels. However note that they appear to be lowered and that is part of what makes them look good too.

ive lowered the car a little bit, but i am planning on coilovers as soon as i get my car running a little better. (that were my money is going right now). im having trouble deciding what to do, because i JUST bought new toyos 2 weeks ago for my 16's, and the other wheels dont come with tires. so i would have to go and buy another set of tires, and you and i know that those tires arent cheap. but then again, i want 17's badly. if only money grew on trees LOL

well, i got my stock gs wheels done today in the gunmetal grey color, taped off the outside lip, and i must say they look great. as soon as i get some pics i'll get em on here. it took that girly, pretty look away and gave it alot more of an aggressive look. thanks for the input guys
