I have rarely seen any on 2gs. Do you guys have any pics? And know where to buy them from?

What is a canard?? I looked all through that link and cant' find it. Maybe I am retarded.

They are the carbon fiber fins on the bumper which are suppose to help in the down force of the front end, in order for them to be functional you have to have them measured and all this other sh!t done just right for them to work right. So must of the street cars that have them are only for show.

Like VENOM said, the canards are those two 'fins' on each side of the front bumper. And I'm sorry to say, VENOM, but you'll probably see the same advantages from these as a giant aluminum wing.. they're basically all for show.

If used correctly they will aid in downforce generation.

You'd need a wind tunnel or computer modeling software to optimize them.

Oh, and on the wing. If it's the correct shape, and has air flowing over it, it will give gains. Of course, it will add plenty of drag as well ;)

Not all aluminum wings and canards are for show, they actually are functional, but the functional ones are very pricey and like "leet" said you need a wind tunnel and such for the to be put in the right places, the air needs to be measured to the cars settings for the proper amount of air flow to hit the right spots in order for it to work, there are real purposes for these. Yes the do sell cheap ricey ones that ricers buy. And yes the ugly but on race cars they are functional.

I've since learned that canards can be used to generate vortices along the sides of the car, which can help to prevent air from getting under the sides of the car. (Look up ground effect downforce for more details.)

Hmm. One more thing for me to play around with while I'm at work. ;)
