OK- I just bought my GSX.. It has the infinity sound system, tape player with the 6 cd changer. The cd changer has been taken out, and it has the tape player still in. It gets power, shows the clock, ect.. but it won't turn on when i push the power button (volume knob in) I've checked just about all of the fuses.. Any idea what it could be? Also which fuse would it be? the only radio fuse i could find was under the hood, and it was grouped with another fuse, both were good. thanks.

im not sure what the prob may be make sure all speaker wires are conecte to the speakers and to the radio/amp. if your dont solve the prob i got a stoack infinity cass/ radio with single cd player double din ill sell to ya.:thumb: good luck:dsm:

mine also is doing the same thing now. all lights come on on stereo and clock..but the clock is frozen and i get no sound

I have the stock 6 disk changer with the infinity face on my eclipse. Then tonight on my way home i notice the lights are all on but the clock is frozen and when i hit the volume button or cd button none of them do anything. I checked all of my fuses and theyre all still good. Could a ground wire have come loose? if so where would i find the wire to check? i have no idea what happened. thx

They ground through the chassis, so it's not that wire. It may have given up the ghost. Buck up, though, because they go for $30 and less on eBay. Disconnecting the power and re-connecting may jolt it out of its catatonia, but remember you'll have to have the security code to get it back to life.

Try actually grounding the unit with a wire. Take a wire and bolt it from the side of the HU where it screws into the brackets to a bolt. That sould provide a better ground. See if i will light up. Like Defient said, you will probably need a code from the dealer.

Uh... that means it's dead. Broken. Failed. NFG. Bazootied. Shot.
Check your fuse box.

well i checked my radio fuse under the hood and its good, are there any other fuses that could cause it to fail?
