I was bored yesterday and I was searching through my garage for something to do and I found 2 cans of the Transparent Window Tint in a can that I used on my S-10. Well I thought to myself what can I do with these......

Tint my bumper lights on my Talon black. I have only seen Tinted Black Bumper Lights on only 1 green 2G. Looked alight. So I took my chances. Plus this stuff wipes off if I do not like it.

Here are the results. Tell me what you think. I thought about doing the tail lights. But came to the conclusion that it will look like ass. I am kind of half and half on the way it looks. It kind of fits the color....but yet doesn't look well with the green. If I knew how hard it was to make a color theme/scheme on a 2G Green Talon.....I wouldn't of bought it. But the color grew on me and I love it :D

there ok -- still quite a color clash.

Exactly what I am saying. I am going to just get the regular clear bumper lenses. Green is just a hard color to go with.

it looks alright i guess... i think you made 'em a little too dark. you should've tinted the clear ones instead of the stocker orange so it didn't have to be that dark... you would've matched it with your painted headlights.

What i did with mine is I painted the inside black the same way you would do headlights. I thought tinting would look too black and clear ones look too white. Painting the inside black gives it a cool effect. It is a medium grey at most angles but at certain angles it is really dark grey or white due to the reflector things. When i first got my clear corners they did not want to come apart. I tried it a year later and they just poped apart. If you want to do this getting cheaply made ones is a plus. Just use something that is about the width between the lip of the lens and the lip of the housing to avoid cracking them. I don't have great pics of them but here are accouple.

After I look at it....I think I did them too dark. I will take them off tommorrow and take off the tint and maybe just try about 3 small light coats just to give it a little "smoke" look. Not black at all.

Oh and talontsiawd.....Have you thought about getting the Diamond Cut Euro Bumper Corners and painting the inside of that black? I just thought of that. Wondering how it would look.

I haven't done a single mod to my car in about a year. I need to sell it actually, i have just been lazy and I also just can't part with her, LOL. Anyway, no more mods for me. Thanks for the suggestion though. I haven't even seen those yet.

i have the diamond cut euro bumper lights and i smoked them on the outside. I like them but wish i would have just painted the inside black, it makes it look really good on the diamond clear ones.

Good luck taking off the tint (assuming it's like VHT NiteShades)... I tried with just sandpaper and elbow grease and it seemed like I was never getting anywhere, so I quit, though you might get farther with a power sander I suppose.

Finger Nail Pollish Remover my friend :thumb: Worked very well on my 1G.

I did this to my friends blue 2g talon. I came to the same conclusion.. on black or silver it would look tight .. but the clash is too much for me. I still think its better than the orange .. but i think the duplicolor metalcast blue would have been better. Then it would have blended them in with the car.

Blacked out corners
