Recirculate vent question....

When I have my ac/vent on recirculate, you can still smell things outside(diesel trucks, etc). Is there something I can do to stop this from happening? I know its not supposed to be doing this.....

check your switch... it might not be changing over to recirculate... bad connection not telling the stuff to do what its supposed to do you know? Thats the best advice I can give you man... Unless the smells inside the car or leaking in from bad weatherstripping and the whatnot....

Pull the panel off and check the connections and what not.

The push/pull cable may be improperly adjusted, or the foam gasketing around the door may be gone.

I was thinking either one of your 2 suggestions could be the culprit. When I switch it from outside air to recirculate, I can hear it change over- and you can tell the difference. It just isnt 100% recirculating....

I'll look for this in the manual tonight, to try to find a location of the problem and/or fix.
