I just got my Sparco seats in the mail like an hour ago and I started to mount them. The bases fit fine in my car, and I already have the sliders on the seats. Now how do you mount the sliders to the bases? There is no way I can see that it will work! Do I need to drill any holes in the bases?
I'm out of ideas. :( I need help!
Thanks!
BTW, I got the Torino II's.

When I got my Sparcos I had to get an adapter that bolts to the original points on the floorpan and there was a second set of adapter pieces that bolted to the seats. Then these two adapters bolted to each other(this was with rails too) Wish I had the diagram still.

Ok don't laugh when I say this... but I went back to my desk and I look over and there are 2 little brown boxes with all the stuff I needed. But the seat adapters that bolt to the seat? I just don't get how they work. They just get in the way of the adjustable tabs on the sliders. Do I have to use them?
Right now here what I got hooked up. The sliders to the seat, and the tab brackets to the sliders, then I'll bolt those to the seat bases which bolt to the car. Am I right?
Or should it be option #2: the seat adapters that bolt to the seat, the sliders to the adapters, the tab brackets to the sliders, then I'll bolt those to the seat bases which bolt to the car.
I really don't see the use for the seat adapters? Do I really need to use them?
Thanks!

Ok I finally see how this all goes together. But the little bar that u should pull up on to adjust forward and back on the seat wont work, so I guess I'll just bend it to make it work.

Sounds like you got it I had the same problem with the slide handle. The best way is to cut the handle in half and put a bar in between the 2 pieces to make it wider.

I have tourino's with the Sparco Sliders and it was a piece of cake to put together. (2G)

the hardest part was the Bar that's used to move the seats forwards and back. I didn't have to cut anything or drill anything. I just had to use some Muscle to spread the thing far enough apart to attach it to the mounting points. Otherwise's it's just a bunch of Bolts.

If you have a digital camera take some picts of the problem and post. I didn't have to drill or cut anything. Sparco makes top quality parts that are designed to fit. So unless your missing something they should go to gether with out any problems.

I believe the entire Attachments sliders I have was a 3 part set.

I'll start a different thread to post pics of the finished product.
But yes, I agree, everything was a cakewalk. The only hard part was learning what part's bolt to what. After I spent like 2 hours trying to figure out how to do that, I put my second seat together in a little under 10 minutes. The only problem I had was with the bar, so I just bent it and cut a notch to clear a bolt. And now everything's fine... I'm waiting for a friend to come over to help me install the other seat (he wants to help). But so far that one seat looks pimp.

are you using the stock Seatbelts or are you doing harness's?

I bought the Harness's that are supposed to be specifically designed for these seats from Sparco. But I couldn't get them to take up the slack in the back. Meaning I could tighten them agianst the middle piece of the seat to give me the snug fit but there was way to much material to tighten it up where it attach's to the car. Which is very dangerious if you get into a crash. So I ended up selling them.

anyone recommend a certain sparco harness that fits perfectly? or did everyone have to go with some other brand? or have a custom install done?

So your picts if you got them cause I'm going to be needing harness's here shortly when I install the cage.

No such thing. Harnesses are harnesses. Not much difference in configuration between the brands.

Ok, so I just finished installing my seats, and I go to cruise around in them. And my car is dead. DEAD, as in like the dash lights are very dim, and the car shows no signs of life from the engine.
I got a new battery last December. The only wires I messed with were the wire connected to the drivers seatbelt buckle, and it's hooked up. How can my battery just die? It worked just fine the day before I started installing my seats. Could it be because I had the doors open so long installing the seats that the doom light just drained the battery?

I have a set of sparco seat brackets. They're pretty nice. I didn't have sparco seats though and so I had to get some adapters fabricated to mount the brackets and seats together, but other than that the brackets are great except for sliding them back and forth. No backseat though so they never move anyway. The seats were Tenzo R Rally seats for the record.
