Swapping headliner?

I was recently in a accident with my 90 TSi, (write off) anwyas I now have a 90 GS-T, the headliner in my new car has some bubbles and rough patches in it.

The headliner out of my old car was mint. Is it hard to remove the headliner and how would I go about doing this, I noticed the platice pins along the front and back of the headliner, do I just remove those?

They are easy to take in and out. There is an article about it in the tech forum. Just pop your a pillars in the front and the rear behind the seats...the upper ones wiht the coat hook on it, then sun visors and doam light take those out. Thats about it.

Just as Turbo13107 said. I just did mine. Just remove the A-pillar pieces both driver and passanger(they just pull right off) Then remove the two pieces from the rear, Where the Hangers are(phillips head screwdriver.) and pop them off. Also though, Dont forget to remove the weather stripping around your sunroof(if you have one) it just pulls right off. I'm not sure about the front windshield weather stripping, I took mine off and cant get it back on And also, like you mentioned, just unclip the little circle clips that you see(watch they may want to break) and then just pop the hatch, And pull it out the back install is same as removal!

Edit: If you have a sunroof, You'll need to unscrew the 2 screws that hold the latch piece to the roof.
