Need help very quickly please. Hood wont latch.

Ok, I just finished mounting a FMIC. I had to modify the power steering cooler bracket some. I re-installed it and had everything buttoned up and ready to go. Now the hood wont latch shut.

Any idea why the hood would not latch??

1st question,

how much did your fmic cost? ()

check and see if its bumping into the laching mechinisim?

there's got to be something holdign it back.,

check the spring on your latch for your pull cable it may have come off so the lock slid shut not letting the loop on your hood to go down all the way

ps if all else fails get hood pins

Wow, the latch mechanism is a very presise piece apparantly. I went out to check out your suggestions(thanks by the way) and noticed that I shaved too much of the bracket. When I went to close the hood it flexed and would not properly latch. So I just hacked off the rest of it and custom made my own own latch bracket and it works perfectly now.

It's amazing how such a small amount of flex will screw with things.

I know I'll probably get shit for going with a Starion but I have pretty much everything I need to plum it tomorrow plus even though it's not THAT much better than the stock side mount, it is better.
