And I'm going to go w/ these in 17"x7. I think I am supposed to get 5x114.3 right?

They are $699 and come w/ 205/40/17 tires (not sure on the brand). What do you guys think? Oh yeah, the car is a black 96 Spyder GST.

Edit: I was just informed that gravity casted wheels suck and I should get forged, and excel wheels are gravity casted. :( I was told they will bend and dent easily.

I have the tenzo rs5 rims ( deep dish) and their gunmetal too.
They weigh in at 20 lbs wich is a good weight .

By the way does any body know what the weight is on stock rims.

if i were you i would seriously try to get bigger tires! if you possibly can, you will be thankful that you did! get at least 215/40/17, 215/45/17 would be better though. 205/40/17 are made pretty much for honda sized wheel wells(civic). and even then they are to small. i had 205's on my prelude when i had it and i wished every day that i had gotten 215's.
good luck, those wheels will look great by the way. they will compliment the 2g body style very nicely. good luck

oh, and of course forged will be much better, but that is why you will pay over $1800 for rims without tires. unless you plan on doing some serious racing you will be fine with those. just dont go curb-checking all over the place:thumb:

Okay well I have also found these rims, which do you guys think will look better?

The Exel Radius is a nice looking wheel. I have them, but have yet to put them on, and this guy from DSMTalk has them as well.

Your second rim choice is way better. IMO Eclipses look way better with more GT racing style rims that are out there. But then again Ed, has some awesome arse Vegas which are more fancy, than racy. Finding the right rim is tuff stuff, out of the 2 you showed, I would take the second one.

well that is a hard question, i have a similar styled rim that you just put up. mine are 18's though. here are a few pics of them on the car.
they are diablo racing 18's with 225/40/18 rubber.

i also agree with topple, i think that the 2g eclipses look phenominal with GT style racing rims. but the 1st ones you had psted were good looking also, maybe someone could photoshop your car with either set of rims on it so you can get an idea for both of them.
good luck, but i dont think you could go wrong either way. but make sure you get at least 225/40/17 sized rubber. bigger if you can, the new evo's have 17's with 235/45/17. and that size is great!
good luck

Alright here we go guys, I know I know, I'm skilled, but enough of the bragging....

I like the first ones better because they have rivets -- cool industrial look. Too many spokes reminds me of stockers on some older eclipses.

Go to tire rack and put the different styles on your car...no need to photoshop.

I've tried tirerack, they blow, LOL. No black eclipse and no rims I like. I am thinking about going to maybe 18" tho if there isn't a big weight difference.

I bought the the first ones for my car but they were in silver. I like the stlye of the rim and have no complaints.

oh by the way I also purchased my rims from wheel max and they were very professional and got the rims to my house quickely with no problems.

No black eclipse? Guess you never noticed the drop-menu for changing the car's color? Or the fact that they have rims that look exactly like those on there and can put them on the car? Ooooook.

I had the 1st set on my Prelude for awhile, and I loved them -- but on an Eclipse, I'd have to say no.

Eclipse's are too "fat" looking for skinny spoke rims. Now spokes like the RH C5's look awesome, but I'm not a fan of skinny spokes.

Unless they just changed their website this morning then no, like I said no black eclipse. The only color they have is rust. Also remember, this is a spyder, so I chose spyder so they might have the colors for the regular eclipse...

Ah ok, that's probably why. Hell they're similar enough when it comes to wheels. Just use a regular eclipse and throw black on it.
