How do you clean the inside of the headlights? The plastic housing part? Mine is so dirty and I even see a spiderweb in there. I took the little metal clips off but that won't work.

Try cleaning the outside first. Mine were pretty gross when I bought the car used, all yellow and cloudy. I got some high-grit sandpaper and wetsanded them each a couple times over, then bought some clear plastic polish, and now they look good as new. The inside of the lens was clean. Needless to say the light output from my headlights improved more than double.

Infamous: must be inside, then :thumbdown

The polish isn't permanent, but it has been several months and mine still look pretty clean.

I think, though, that if you sand them enough they really shouldn't be foggy still. That would mean the plastic is foggy internally. Maybe you baked it for too long in the oven??

Toothpaste? Going to try that out. It's great on jewelry by the way! My diamond watch stays looking like new LOL thanks for the idea man

That's might catch on actually especially with the cost of toothpaste vs cleaning agents that am its a household thing everyone has (hopefully) LOL

I will do some before and after pics with the headlights and then let the members decide.

If there are spider webs, i'd fill the holes with water and soap swish it around and pour it out. Then leave it open in the sun and let them dry up. Best option is to open them up. As for the outside polish/toothpaste works well for temp fixed. I have always wet sanded and re cleared. Uv protection helps with future problems and they are paint smooth.

Get the Turtle wax headlight kit cost about $8 and works perfect for me and the sealant it comes with really last awhile
