im planning to put a turbo on my FWD 94 eclipse, do i have to change the axle. Im not sure if it is stronge enough with the horspower gain

axles will be fine unless you're making ridiculous power, your front tires will feel the pain from the extra power though, but that's ok :thumb:

is that why i keep snapping axles?! LOL

Here is a quote from Bill Hahn "Any turbo 2gnt will benefit from axle upgrades if slicks are used. The Driveshaft Shop can counsel as to what will work in a particular application. The ones we have are the baddest they make, and not required for anything under 400 HP."

I would imagine this applies to 1G NT as well. The key is to avoid wheelhop which kills axles. Learn to feather the throttle instead of dumpng the clutch and gas and you should be fine. Bad wheelhop can kill 500 dollar axles as well.

I've seen the links to your runs. You ran a 2.8 and a 2.7 60ft. Something is wrong with your traction. I'm not trying to start any crap here I am merely quoting what Bill Hahn said. I asked a long time ago the same question when I hit close to 350hp with my turbo GS. I got tired of the traction issues and I did not like the idea of using slicks so I sold it and bought my GSX.
