i was wondering is it possible to swap an evo 8 engine into an gs or rs cause the motor in both car are turned the same way?

You need the motor, a FWD tranny that will fit that motor (unless you want to go awd). Oh yeah, and don't forget a crazy/insane mechanic that is willing to attempt to make all this work.

BTW, how much money you got to go dishing it out for a brand new evo 8 engine? I hope you have near 10k for the motor alone lying around.

EVO I-III motors are similiar to dsm motors in that they have flywheel on the same side. These are more or less a direct drop-in on a dsm.

EVO 4-8 motors are flipped around, and cannot be put into an eclipse/talon.

Now, as an N/T owner, you probably already know that the motor mounts are different for a 4g63 and a 420A. So instead of asking if you could put a turbo dsm motor into your car, you're asking if you could put a turbo dsm motor flipped around backwards into your car.

The absolute is, yes you can, anything is possible.

As far as practicality... you might as well put a v8 in it. You'd have about as much trouble.
