sorry if this question sounds a little repetitive but i jus searched for about 15 mins and didnt find a specific answer to my question. i was wantin to turbo my car and am pretty set on a hahn stage 1 because its not a whole lot up front and hahn has tha potential upgradibility throughout tha stages. my question is how long would my stock internals last with tha stage 1 on? again, sorry if its a stupid question. thanks for any help.:dsm:

i just tried going to gsturbo.com but it said it couldnt find tha server. im guessin their fixin tha site right now. i dont know. still lookin for some help with this if anyone can help me. thanks.:dsm:

Don't know. There is no way to tell how long they will last. If you stay in the boost areas that the kit makers reccomend and you don't make mistakes, it should last a long time. I was on stockers for over a year at 8psi on my star kit. I abused it daily, and never lost a bit of compression on the tests I did. As for the SAFC don't get it, the kit will do the fuel already. I would look into all the turbo options. Most guy's don't go in "stages" even with the Hahn kit. If your going to buy a stage 5 to start it may be a good thing to have stages. But if your upgrading as you go, you will replace almost every single part of the orignal kit and pay a lot for it too. Think about what your goals are and then buy the right turbo to get there. I for example want a really fyckin fast car, so I went star, because it's all the turbo I will need to get what I want. You get the idea of what I mean. Most of the Hahn guy's that are "stage 5" are not using the same componets as hahn's kit because the stuff is soooo expensive. There are no stages, just buy the componets you need to meet your goals. Why buy 2 turbos, 2 fuel systems, two IC's, etc, etc, etc. Just do it right the first time.

thanks for tha help kirby. what you said made a lot of sense. what do you think i would need or better yet, what should i get for a turbo kit which will produce some good power but not an extreme amount? im lookin to get about 350 out of it. i dont need that much cuz i want to balance out looks with power. thanks again man.:thumb: :dsm:

In that case you want either a stage 3 from Hahn, or a stage 2 from star, and rebuild the engine. That's why I bought the star kit, all i have to do is upgrade the parts I need to to get to my goals, I have all the turbo I need already. But to get that level, you will need a built bottom end, and a stage 2 kit from star. The stage 3 from hahn, is basicly a rebuild kit with a stage 2 kit all in the same "kit".
