I'm wondering if there is a way to jury rig a knock sensor...instead of having the computer have anything to do with it...can I just wire it to a light in the cockpit somewhere that flashes every time it gets knock count? theres several reasons I want to do this, I am going to convert a NT to a turbo with about 6 psi of boost, but I dont want to use a turbo ECU and have to mess with the wiring harness, I know you guys are going to say just to get the turbo computer and go through the hassle anyway because its safer and all....but I do not want the computer to pull timing automatically, I aim to tune it so I get no counts of knock at all, and by having this ghetto set-up I would be able to see everytime knock happened and tune accordingly....I know you guys will probably think this is a messed up way to do all of it, but I am just wondering whether it will work.....because then I wouldnt have to mess with the turbo ECU, and for fuel adjustments I could just use a SAFC, this car would never see more than 8 psi at most, and probably not more than 200 WHP max, otherwise I would just build the engine, but I would like a nice cheap turbo set-up to add a bit of power
