What voltage does the MAP sensor put out? I know the star turbo kit says so (thus my reason for posting it here) and I need to know so I can setup a temporary fix for it as the shop that did my turbo didn't override my MAP sensor which in turn is detecting the manifold pressure and retarding the spark firing causing two error codes on my OBDII (can see the whole post under the problems forum)

Nobody has any idea on this? I need to know as I'm trying to get my car ready for sale but don't know the voltage the MAP sensor puts out so I can create something to feed the ECU the steady voltage it needs to not think there's anything wrong (again I wonder why the instructions for Star Turbo Kit say to remove the MAP sensor...do they mean take it out of the manifold or what? I still haven't figured it out haha)

Ok then a missing link it is and with that on I will be rid of two of my error codes. Now I just need to hunt the boards for the O2 sensor thing I saw about when you remove the cat and the O2 sensor thinks it's messed...thanks again!

Unless you really get annoyed by the CEL then you don;t have to worry about the rear O2 sensor since all it does is tell you the cat isn;t working. It doesn;t affect performance at all. But definitely get a Missing Link, one of the best 50 bucks I ever spent.......

Your map voltage is constantly changing. You can't just set it to a certain volt. All the star fcd's do is stop the map from reading anything over 1.00v. After 1 then it will start reading positive manifold pressure.

haha I'm trying to get the car ready to sell and it'll be hard to do with the check engine light on. I read in another post that someone said that using tin foil worked in fooling the rear O2 sensor so I might give it a try and see. I still have to pay $90.70 for a brand new factory special order VSS
