Hey guys, I'm trying to find some gaskets for the turbo accesories. I need a gasket from the:

manifold--> turbo flange
downpipe---> turbo
Head ------> exhaust manifold

Thats all I can really think of Gasket wise, but if there is anythign I missed or you feel I may need, please feel free to make suggestions. I cannot find anywhere that has these gaskets, and if they do, I need something that will hold a good amount of boost/HP. Now I can find the stocker gasket for my head---> exhaust manifold, but I need something either brass, copper, multi-layer, whatever...

I also need the bolts connecting the turbo to my manifold, the flange. I called Hahn and the sales rep reccommend the ARP bolt kit. Thing is, it's like $30 for one gasket, and 4 bolts... I know I could go to Lowe's and find the correct bolts, but I wasn't sure if there was any difference in the ARP bolts, and Lowe's bolts. Can anyone elaborate here or vouch for a ARP?

Suggestions and opinions welcome. Let me know what YOU used when you turboed your car... TIA.

If money is tight for now....you could just run copper sealant, and make sure you let it sit for 24hours.

It'll get the job done for a long time until you can afford to get what you want.

I had some of that copper high-temp RTV stuff completely deteriorate on me, but it did last for a little while. I found all of the above gaskets (except the head/exhaust mani gasket) on SBR for $28 total. They're all SS, and have been re-used a few times already. $30 for a gasket AND four bolts is actually a pretty good price, in my opinion.

Now, Lowe's hardware is about grade five (unless otherwise noted). This isn't a terribly strong grade of hardware, so just be careful when assembling everything. Don't over-torque anything, and put some anti-seize on all the threads. The bolt size is 10mm (M10) with a 1.25 thread pitch.

I recently found some grade 10.9 bolts of the correct size/pitch at Advance Auto, for about $2 a pair. They're a good alternative to Lowe's bolts, but unfortunately, one of these recently broke off in my turbo's exhaust housing... It just goes to show you, be careful with any hardware that you buy.

I just recently dealt with ARP hardware during my engine rebuild (headstuds and rod bolts), and I must say, I don't think those things ever have a chance of stripping. The steel seemed so hard and durable, that I can't imagine anyone ever having a problem with them.

I too was on a budget when I was finishing my turbo project, but if I could do it over again, I wouldn't skimp on the essentials. Stripped/broken bolts and exhaust leaks aren't fun.

Bolt in your exhaust housing? WTF Wow, that really truly honestly scares me.. Paul you really might scare me into buying the $30 kit from that comment alone.. I'm not low on money, and the details are very important to me in this kit. So I'd like to find the right products, and worry about the money later.. an extra $20 wouldnt hurt..

Heres what if found so far... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/T3-T...ryZ33667QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I'm going to see if I can call cometic or maybe Fel-pro about some heavy duty gaskets for my exhaust manifold. Then the gasket listed above would cover my turbo---> manifold flange.

I think the only way I am going to find a gasket to fit my downpipe to cat-back is by making one. I'll have to check out home depot or Lowe's for some sort of specialty high-temp material. Wish me luck..

EDIT: Would this fit our cars?
