Ok, after talking with a buddy, who has a TSI AWD, and then test driving the exact same car, I am once again looking for boost. Now, after looking at how much it will cost to turbo the 420A, I'm just wondering, how it would cost more to fit the 4g63T in my car?!? Can someone please enlighten me as to why it would cost more?

Go look at your engine, then look at your buddy's TSI, notice how everything is backwards, and how the transmission is mounted on the otherside. The money it would cost you to refabricate the engine bay to fit the 4g63T (from the GST and GSX) in your car would be outrageous enough to just say "sell your car and buy a AWD, but to say sell your car and buy a couple of EVO's, maybe put a downpayment on a ferrari. You also have to deal with electrical wiring and things of that sort. By the time your done witht the swap, you could have had a bigger turbo on your 420a, built bottom end, and be pushing 300+ wheel horsepower like some people do.

(not to confuse anyone or get there hopes up, but I noticed that the Evo 8's 4g63T's are on the same orientation and direction as our 420a's, I'm not saying its fees able with the cost of the egnine alone, but I"m sure the guys who did try the 420a- 4g63T swap wish they would have started with one of those.)

I'm not trying to be mean here, but if you really want boost, you need to either turbo your car, or buy a different one, or keep this one and then buy another one as well.

Search for this topic and you will get a much better idea of why you wouldn't even want to think of taking on this task
