Converting to turbo? can the engine take it

Hi there i have this question. I have an eclipse gsi N/T. And am about to bold on a turbo kit stage 1. Now i have heard that Mitsubishi creates the strongest TURBO ENGINES in the world. And my question is. Will my N/T engine resist the power of the turbo...... Will it make any difference if u compare a gs-t with a normal eclipse but with turbo?

I really hope to have some answers. because i really wanna go fast now.

Welcome to the "boost" side......now I don't know too much about your gsi since your in europe and all....but when it comes to any NT w/out forged internals. Set your boost limit for 6-7psi(non-intercooled), don't forget you NEED, a FMU(vortecs 12:1), Bigger fuel pump(walbro 255 should do it).
If I were you, seriously start getting at least a SMIC going for your car.

run now or you will be owned by the boost!!! :p

like Randy said, just keep the boost low untill you put either forged internals or stock turbo motor internals in your engine. i think 6-7 is fairly high for non intercooled, and i kept mine to about 4-5 psi non intercooled... no that my intercooler is on, ill be boosting that up to 7-8 psi.

yes, thats why i said he could put forged internals or stock turbo internals... i hope nobody gets that confused
