Just got everything finished up yesterday on the front mount and IC pipes and I couldn't be more impressed with the improvement on hp. I've noticed about a 1-1.5psi pressure drop at wot for those who want to know. also I used 2.5" piping
total cost:
FMIC=$200
Aluminum pipes(the upper IC pipe that's polished)=$30
Aluminized piping=$75
Vibrant tech. 4 ply silicone couplers, including a 90=$130
welding=$70
HKS ssqv=$190
HKS bov flange=$30
Having the only 420a turbo charged car with a front mount in town=priceless :laugh:
total cost=$725

I also have pics of when I was fabricating the piping if anyone would like to see those let me know.

Man, talk about makin me jelous. Those welds look really clean. I should be installing mine soon. Might need a little help.

hey there is a black piece shat should be behind that intercooler like a splash guard or something. did you just cut it out. if so are you worried about water getting in the motor bay?

looks killer though!!! i used a smaller intercooler and kept the core support.

Not sure what exactly your talking about besides the "air tunnel thing" that went between the bumper and radiator? If so I haven't had that thing on there since I bought/rebuilt the car from a total about 2 yrs ago, as far as water getting in there it hasn't affected anything so far so I'm not too worried about it.

I was looking at the pics of when I first picked this car up and it was totally smashed in the front(went under the back of a semi trailer) and it's amazing what some tlc can do.

OH yeah I had my first good kill last night, a 350z riced to the bone got a little lesson in dsm domination LOL :dsm:

cool i was tring to figure out what to do about i/c pipes. i put my intercooler on and saved my core support and that black plastic cover is really not going to make running pipes easy. so i will just cut that sh!t out.

Very nice. Where did you get the pipes bent.... I live in Michigan, and I have searched this stupid state over for a guy with a Mandrel Pipe bender..... no luck. I hate it.

Anyone wanna give me $5000 for a mandrel pipe bender?

are there no exhaust shops around?

we got exhaust shops.... just they all use crinkle bending... I think I found a place that might do it. If not, I guess I'll custom make it. Might be cheaper that way anyhow.
