Hey i have a 1998 eagle talon esi FWD 2.0L I was talkin to ma friends and they told me if i wanted to convert ma car to a Turbo i might as well change the whole engine instead of spending ma money on a turbo kit. what do u guys think and if this is correct what kind of engine should i swap it with. sry im a newbie

the cost of the whole engine and turbo is not worth it
most people will tell you to sell your car and buy a turbo car

p.s. the whole engine will need a ton of custom work
i know of one person that did it and he spent 8000 dollars
you can get the whole car for less

Tell your friends they are dumb first off.

Then when you're done..

You can turbo your car, You'll need alot of supporting mods to have it done properly, And last long.

You can just buy a turbo car.. (I do not want to hear the non-turbo people come in this thread saying blah blah blah).

You can put a 4g63t in your car, But why? It will be just like a tsi fwd then.. So you're better off just buying a tsi in the first place. You would also hafto do a lot of custom fabricating.
