stupid question

OK ill let you all know off the bat im a newbie.... BUT im tryin to learn, ive learned alot already from this site.... anyways ive been looking at turbos and ive seen some evoIII and they support like 400-475 something like that but i have a 99 N/T auto... well can i just buy a venom manifold and a greddy fmic and piping and then strap on a huge turbo ??? is that a dumb question ? ive seen the piping for a few hundred, the turbo for like 800-1k and the fmic for like 800.... so what do you guys think :thumbdown or

save urself some headache,just get a complete turbo kit from hrc or star ,they come with everything u need to bost from 5 to 8lb of boost.

The simple and generic ansewr is...NO. Yo uhave much more to worry about than just buying some piping and a turbo. You really do need to search and research here and mostly on 2gnt.com. I am not trying yo be a turd by saying that. I have a lot of mods on my car, and I am still learning about what to do.

The problem with putting a turbo on our cars is the fuel.

400+ hp on our cars is a lot of work and takes a really skilled tuner to do so. It is not really a bolt on process. Unless you plan to upgrade the entire engine you will not see 400hp with your N/T auto. I'm not trying to bring you down, just save you money. If you can save your money and do a manual tranny swap because that is going to be your weakest link when you start making big hp.
