I have a 92 Talon N/T that needs a 5 spd tranny. I have heard that the cars were switched from 6 bolt to 7 bolt mid 92. Does it matter which tranny I get or how can I tell the difference? I already made the mistake of putting a 90' tranny in the car which did not go over well. The car has the bigger oil filter than normal if that helps. Thanks

The 6-bolt and 7-bolt flywheel doesn't matter. Just make sure it's a non-turbo tranny and you should be fine I believe.

Hay there, A turbo tranny will even work fine in your car, It is arguably even better. Just make sure its not from an AWD! PS, I made the mistake of putting a 92 tranny in my 90, I feel your pain!

When I put the 90' tranny in the car it drove but the bolts that hold the tranny on snapped and the tranny seperated from the car about a 1/2 inch. Did yours do that ? What could have caused that?
