N/T With Turbo Headers??
I have a 97 eagle talon (n/t) and i'm getting turbo parts for it, and i was wondering if the stock turbo headers off an eclipse, or other talon would fit my car. i know they all have the same engine, but i wasnt sure if the bolt pattern was the same. any help is good>

1) The engines aren't the same...
2) It won't bolt up...
3) Turbo headers is called an exhaust manifold and you'd be missing a turbo/O2 sensor housing and be leaking exhaust into the engine bay. Bad idea.

Good way to sum it up tim. Only the 1g's have the same engine. (4g63) a 2g turbo has a 4g63 and the non turbo like yours is a 420a. Turbo cars don't have headers because... they have a turbo. And there would be no way to run a turbo exhaust manifold on your car. You CAN however port your n/t exhaust manifold for some gain i hear, but i just went with a pacesetter header. 150 bucks and works great, people complain about pacesetter but i've had no problems, nice little gain to.

My only complaint with my Pacesetter's is I had to spend 2 hours with a dremel because the fitment sucked. Then it only took about ten minutes to bolt everything up. I lost a little low end, but did gain some top end.
Oh yeah, and Tim owns you:eek:

listen to what Tim G & Ballin'GS said cause our engines are the 420A and the turbo model is a 4g63 so they wouldn't match. Do the 1G Eclipses/Talons really have the 4g63 engine in them?
And does anyone kno anythin about droppin in a Evo 1-3 Engine in our 2g's?? Thanks
Mitsu 13 i just did some research on headers for our cars n u can see my thread called "Who has da best header", i heard alot of positive feedback on ssautochrome n i think im gonna go with those

Yes they do. The 420A was for 95-99 N/T models.

In a N/T you could, but you would have to do a lot, I repeat A LOT, of custom fabricating to get everything to fit. A GSX on the other hand (remember, Evo's are AWD) would be much more feasible.

actually it'd almost be easier to install an engine from a later model evo4-8 since they sit the same way as the neon (engine - transmission)
1g's can bolt up a evo 1-3 motor as a simple drop in.

I knew everything sat right, I just didn't think it would work. So theoretically I could swap an Evo 4-8 motor into my 99 GS without a bunch of fabrication issues? (aside from converting to AWD)

actually it would almost be easier to put the 2g turbo engine in the 2g engine bay since its at least designed to fit in that exact engine bay.
although that's about like saying its easier to fit a watermelon up a chipmunks ass as compared to a pumpkin. neither way's goint to be a breeze.
