turbo

Is it possible to put a turbo from a same year GST in a GS? What other mods are needed to complete this? I can get the turbo for $200 and it has less than 20,000 miles on it. Trying to decide if its worthit.

No! The turbo from a GS-T will not fit the GS They both have different engines. GS Has a 420A engine just like the RS and the GS-T has a 4G63. To complete what you were asking you would need a 4G63 engine,tranny,ecu & a whole bunch of stuff. Some rearranging in the engine bay because they are also different.

not exactly, you can put it on your car you just need a custom manifold. but i seriously do not recomend it. you will need to upgrade alot of things to make it work properly. but i say not to do it since 5 or 6psi is all you will be boosting at. too much money and headache tuning to bother with it. if you are going to turbo it get a Hahn turbo kit...they make the best kits for your car.

what about with a 1g? could i take a turbo out of a 1g gst and put it in mine?

you still need a custom manifold. you might see a little more boost with the 14b turbo tho, not much. i strongly recomend the hahn kit.
too many mods and headaches to deal with putting a turbo on a rs/gs. the 420a motor just wasnt meant for it. but, like i said..... hahn racecraft
