He wants to get rid of it and said he would give it too me for $5,000 and i wouldnt have to give him money up front and just pay him montly. So, im thinkin if it buy i will want to add some things to it like a turbo. Thats my main thing that i want, ive been searching alot and find all different kinds but this one seems to be the best price

=http://www.nopionline.com/index.cf...High Performance Turbo/Turbo Upgrade&vaffid=0

How much more HP will this one give me is it a cheap one is it gunna last.
Now does this have everything i need or will i need a intercooler and turbo timer and so on and so on. My friends a Mechanic well he just got outta school but he says he knows how to install it and i dont know if i should trust him but he says its easy to put on its just bolt on. So should i get it professional installed and pay ridicolous amounts of money or take the risk. PLEASE HELP ME.

sorry the link dont work try this one

HKS Turbo

its at nopionline.com if that link dont work its the HKS Stage 1 for $1,265

ummmmm ok... read carefully there plz then ask us it is turbo "UPGRADE" for the stock turbo cars not for the NT cars.OMG

great deal for a gs. but if you want to go the turbo route, save yourself the time, money and hassle, and just by a gst or gsx. it's not worth the hassle to turbo a nt. some people will say differently, but this is just my opinion. that's what i did. had a 97gs and got rid of it for a 99 gst.

I agree. If you're set on getting a turbo..A GST or GSX is the way to go. It will be better platform to build on in the long run.

dont listen to them. you have a chance to get a 98 with low miles for 5 grand and you dont have to pay all up front and probably no interest either. buy it. you can turbo it for like 3 grand if you know someone who can help you do the install and it will be faster than a gst. just my 2 cents

The thing is if you put turbo on a non-turbo car you have to worry about the wastegates etc, etc, etc. plus you won't be able to boost as high safely as you would just getting a GST. I have a 98' GS and I love it. I wish mine was only 5000. It's up to you but by slapping on the turbo on a N/A will make it faster but it will have no where near the potential that the GST has.

which will come with the staged kit?

and how about the hrc rs that runs 11 something

I would say get it. It is a good deal and you can always get a turbo kit later from Hahn or Star. No point in trying to find a GST or GSX if you have the GS for only $5,000 then $3,000 for the turbo kit. Then, like stated before, you'd be faster than a stock turbo DSM for about the same money or less.

ya thats what im sayin GS for 5grand, i cant beat that, i was thinkin of gettin the Star Stage1 turbo kit from overboost.com, now will i need to get a intercooler, i was thinking maybe if i went to a junk yard and found a intercooler on a GS-T and slapping it in mine. Plus will i need to get ne thing else if i do decide to get the Turbo and should i worry about engine, clutch, and tranny problems down the line. Thanks guys.

Yeah dog, your getting a good deal for a 98 GS. I payed 5600 for my RS (i was desperate! under 65K miles though.). Finding a GST or GSX of that same year and milage can cost you anywhere from 8-10 grand. You might be able to pull $7000, but you'd probably need to pay Full CASH up front from some private seller. You'd be better off with a Stage two Turbo kit. Comes with all the hardware you need. Plus you dont have to worry about crank walk. Slap on a thinner head gasket and rebuild the bottom-end somewhere down the line, and you'll be fine. :dsm: :talon: :laser: :thumb:
