Installed a SAFC.. NId help!!!!

guys,

i need your help badly, i recently installed a SAFC into my car....
everthing seems to be perfectly fine except for one thing.. the AFC displays half of what is to suppose to be my RPM.....

if for example my gauge tells me i'm reving at around 2000 RPM, the SAFC dsiplays at around 1000 RPM only.

can somebody please help me.
my car is a 1993 Lancer with a transplant of a 4g63 N/T eci multi engine.
what could be wrong???

Go into the setup & set the # of cylinders to 2 instead of 4. Because of the way the coilpack fires it fires two cylinders @ the same time. If it is already on 2 cyl. then I dont no. Read your instructions & you will see this.

my follow up question would be is ... is alright given that my engine is really a 4 cylinder engine but i set the AFC into just 2???
will there be any problem with my tuning????

No there should be no problem with tuning a a result from that. All Dsms are like that(well most anything with coilpacks). all the 2 or 4 or 6 or 8 or what ever cylinder thing acually changes is how the AFC translates the tach signal. As long as your RPM's display correcly all is well.

Yes I can get a pinout & wiring diagram from work. Give me a day or two. I think it may be on this site somwhere but maybe not. I will get it for you anyway.
