Hi all. I just recently aquired a 93 Eagle Talon DL 1.8Ltr and I have some questions about some mods. When you guys put on your shortram air intake systems what do you do with the Mass AirFlow Sensor?? Do you bypass it? Update it with a smaller one? Can I put a larger cam in this? My EGR is already blocked so I take it these engines passed emissions from the fatory with out it? Please someone that knows about this and will be kind enough to give me some advice about this engine help! Thanks dudes.

As far as I know, you need the mas in that engine. I dont know if they sell the Cam for the 1.8 L since it is a single cam engine and not too popular for mods. what you can do about the intake, is hack the airbox, and put an aftermarket K&N filter. The EGR blockoff causes more emissions, but I dont know if it will pass with it on.

most intake systems will use the existing sensors, they should have all the neccesary places to put all the sensors.

Thanks, I'm planning on the Air box Mod and making a box under my hood to keep hot air out. Got any ideas where I can get a header? Can I use a 2.0Ltr ram system on this, will it fit? Thanks again guys.

if you cant find a header thru online and in shops, call around to exhaust shops and see about getting one made, not too much more money. And other air intakes will only fit if the sensors match up, the angle it bends also matches and the inlet to the throttle body and/or turbo matches up.
