amber turn signals

Alright, I want to take the amber bulb out of my turn signals in the headlight. I want to make that little corner clear. But before i go and take off the headlights, does anyone know if it is just the bulb that gives it the amber color, or, is the background amber as well??

If you are still using factory headlights, the background of the turn signal is colored amber. With all the fogging of the headlights, I just purchased some projector headlights for 180.00 and that gave me the clear turn signal.

It is possible to modify the 97+ headlights and make the corners clear. The background isnt what makes the light amber, but a lens. If you take the headlights out and heat them up in order to seperate them you will be able to access this lens. All you have to do is take it out and then reseal the headlights with some silicone sealent. I went the projector route as well though. I melted one of the bulb harnesses on my old headlights using those damned high watt bulbs.

Alright, I guess i will get projectors then, sounds easier, and plus they do look good.

its not easier.. Just take the headlights off your car. get a hair dryer head the black sticky stuff seperate the head light and remove lense. The cauk them back up
