Venom 400

Does anybody have a Venom 400 chip on N/T eclipse
If so, can you feel the diference, Because I want to put it in my Talon

use the search option and look up mod chips, I made the post, this was covered in it before, and had comments from many people as to the pros and cons of chips, and if they're worth what they do.

Hes right those chips are useless. Buy an engine management system but learn how to use it before you start punching in numbers. Ive saving for one before i turbo my car so i dont have to worry about piggybacks and chips and all that crap. If you going to do a lot of mods then save your money

Howell Atuomotive sells a couple replacement ECUs for 420A DSMs. They advance timing a lot so a turbo = nono with them (unless you're REALLY good at tuning, imo)


Good for approx 20hp and they supposedly "learn" too. Heard good things about them. About $400.

Also there are no engine management systems available for our cars. So if your going to spend 1000 on one then you're going to spend another 3000 to have it installed and tuned. Without base maps the car would not run at all. You would have to program everysingle thing from the ground up. There is a reason nobody has a stand alone on these cars. So get used to piggy backs until AEm or sombody comes through for us. The best out there right now is a stand alone fuel system like the 034 EIC or the accell DFI.
