would it be easier to get the cam gears from the same tsi camshafts rather than using my original non turbo camgears if im going to install it?
 
I believe the cam gears are the same for the n/t and turbo cars. Also I'm pretty sure that you have to leave the gears on there so you can keep them at TDC, that's how we did it with a friends Integra.
 
just make sure you put the right cam in the right place and put the correct cam gear back on because they cam gears are universal I believe. The timing marks should look like this . < << they form an arrow facing the front of the car.
 
aight thnx for the info guys...BTW is it necesary to replace my old valve springs and retainers too?

No, you should be able to use your stock valvetrain, unless something is broken.
 
if the turbo mt cams have the gears on them just leave them on. no point in switching them since they're all the same anyways. its almost impossible to get them confused otherwise the cam angle sensor won't slot inside of the camshaft.
