Hey guys, I was trying to install the AFX UDP and i cut the old belts off and took off the motor mount and dropped the engine and took the bolt out of the crank pulley. Then I took the 5 ton 3 tooth gear puller and started trying to take off the stock pulley but it won't budge an inch. I was working on it for 7 hours today and it did not even move at all. Did anyone else encounter anything like this, if so what did you do? Also, could I just wedge something in the pulley and against the sub-frame and crank the motor over to get it to break free or is the pulley seated in the crank somehow? Please guys I need help. Thanks a lot. :dsm:

Yea, I tried using that. The UDP is stuck halfway on and whenever I try to tighten the bolt the whole crank turns. I even tried wedging a screwderiver in the pulley and on the block and killed the screwdriver... I've tried everything except an impact wrench. Will this work or does anyone have another idea?

Thanks a lot man, I really appreciate it. So far I've spent 14 hours on this and have not gotten far (for that amount of time anyway) and going on day 3. I really hope everything works out. Thanks again. :thumb:

OK guys, after about 17 hours everything if finally done. Just wondering though, my power steering pump is whining and I'm just wondering if maybe its just because of the new belts or what; over the winter I replaced the pump and rack and pinion so I don't see how the pump could be going bad. I had to use a block of wood and a sledge hammer to push the pulley on the rest of the way, what a PITA!

Since the ECU reset itself because the battery was disconnected its not perfectly tuned yet (I have short ram intake and a cat-back) and it gives more of a gain then either of them. I would say over 10 hp. Midrange is definitely up. I'm auto and I have no problem chirping into 2nd with newer tires consistently (leaving my foot on the floor).
