Did a compression check on my car few minutes ago and here is what i came up with. did this since i bought a turbo for it and also i have a oil consumption problem. this is on the 420A engine
Cylinder 1 = 210 spark plug was fine
Cylinder 2 = 180 spark plug was fine
Cylinder 3 = 210 spark plug had oil on it
Cylinder 4 = 210 spark plug was fine
Added a cap full of oil to cylinder 2 and let sit for a minute then redid compression check on it...twice
Cylinder 2 2nd time 300 !!!!
Cylinder 2 3rd time 270 !!!!
My conclusions and the guy who helped are that cylinder 3 has bad valve seals and that is why oil is on it. Also i replaced the PCV valve and found oil in the tube and the valve
Cylinder 2 piston rings must be going out if the compression jumped that much, or something else happened or is happening.
SO what does anyone have to add or what not?
