Does anyone know if I replace my catayatic converter with a resognator, how much louder will it be? Will it help alot?

just replace the cat with a straight pipe. that will allow for maximum flow the resonator will restrict some.

Actually, there is no less restriction from a resonator than a straight pipe. Provided all piping diameter is equal.

so it makes sense to just put in straight pipe, because it cost less. And also when i put on a resanator on my eclipse beacause it was too loud, it made it more quiet. So in fact even though it was the same diameter, it did restrict air flow somw, or it wouldn't of made it more quiet.
