help with AEM cai

I started to install my AEM cai today and there is something in the way of the inlet pipe, preventing me from getting the filter on. After the end of the inlet pipe goes through that passage near the bottom of the car, there is somethin basically right in front of it. I dont know what it is, but it is like an inch in front of the inlet pipe, so there is no room to put on the filter.It's like wiring and someother stuff, its solid so I cant just brush it aside. I dont know what it is, anyone with an AEM cai, that could help me out?

That piece you're talking about will push right up out of the way. Then the filter will fit with no problem

Ditto! If you have to, jack the right front of the car up and install that way.........that piece will just nicely bend out of the way. It actually provides a little support to the filter

alright thanks guys, I got the filter on. One last question, in the end it talks about re-connecting the breather hose. Thats the short hose that was originally connected to the stock air inlet pipe, right? I tried connecting that onto the AEM inlet pipe and it connects, but it is very short and barely fits, am i doing anything wrong here?

Just go and buy a Breather . You dont want the oil to go back in to the intake again.
