1.8 to 2.0t and dmv

hey guys how hard would it be to do a complete engine swap?

I am looking at a 90 tsi with a very crappy body but the engine is good for at the max 1200.

would you guys suggest doing this? Will dmv throw a fit? my dad and bro are very good with mechanical stuff so we could do it ourself.


what are the pro's and cons of doing this?

This has been done a few times, check dsmtalk.com The only real problem with doing this is its not an easy nor cheap process.. The more idealistic approach would be to spend time trying to sell your 1.8 and get a 1g gsx.. viva 1.8z :/
