Has anyone ever heard of TUNING the ECU. I thought people only tuned the ecu's when they are turbo or go turbo. Someone recently told me that tuning my ecu on my nonturbo car will give me about 10hp. Any info on this would help. If anyone has done this to a non-turbo car, how do you like it?

they probably mean upgrading.....there are companies that make upgrades for our cars but they're worthless, unless if your 96+, Howell makes one that adds 10-15 to the wheels(when dynoed, which was one run, the ECU still needed to adjust to the car!!!).This ECU advances the timing which means if you were to go turbo you would need an ignition upgrade(MSD or Crane) to retard the timing so that your engine doesn't go bye-bye. The reason why they don't make one for our cars is because we're OBDI and the 96+ are OBDII so our cars arent compliant (something about the ECU being too complicated and there probably won't ever make one for te 95's), but the thing is if you go turbo our ECU (95) doesn't freak out when boost is applied :thumb:.Hoped I helped some.Later
