i'm planning on doing the clutch swap does anyone have a detailed writup on how to do this.

bring that centerforce df clutch back

i paid $400 and regret it

i am serious... i used to have that clutch.. ill give u like 3 months u need a new clutch already... they are good for hondas... not for our motors 420a...

i am in the process of doing a non modular clutch style

using the fidanza flywheel 8.75 $358

and the spec stage 2 clutch $425

i know its alot.. but hey... if u wanna do something right .. do it the right way.. i am suppose to be loseing alot of weight because modular style clutches come with the outer flywheel, that goes on the crank, and then the clutch comes with a specialized flywheel in 1.. its wierd how to explain it...

if ur still interested ill tell you, there should be bolts behind ur flywheel screw them out, and alllign ur df clutch onto your flywheel matching the bolts onto the holes onto the flywheel..... thats it ur done.. easy ... but after 3 months u will notice that the pressure plate that is on the flywheel those special bolts are shot.... this is called clutch chatter. u will get it after 2-3 months i guarantee it.. u will hear like a tak tak tak tak tka noise out of your transmission when its really ur clutch and not ur trans...... i used to have 4 diff clutchs on my car i went thru stock, sach, centerforce, sach, and now im goin thru spec.. i will tell everyone how it will turn out =)... just helpin you.... by the way sach aint so bad if anybody wants it .. i have 1 for sale $50 dollars modular style only like 5k miles used

If your gonna stay NT then you got a "decent" clutch, the thing will hold and grab decently with basic bolt-ons, but if you decide to throw some boost at it be ready to get another one soon after. Mine was really good until I decided to add some boost to the mix. As far as a write-up on it you can get the whole manual from a couple of the guys over at 2GNT, they have it in their sigs.....

well i paid 175 for it brand new should i return it or keep it ????

idk 175 for a centerforce dual friction clutch.... id put it in.. if u dont have anything else to ride... but centerforce is garbage... id rather have a sach which is like 200 brand new....

Well, that wasn't my car, fortunately, but I have seen a bunch of bad failures from this clutch. One of the more perplexing ones was with a friend of mine from 2GNT. The clutch disc broke and kicked a spring out, taking out the bellhousing, destroying the transmission.
So I don't use, trust, or recommend this product.
My advice is to put it on e-bay and see what some sucker will take it off of your hands for. Then, get something a bit better.

yep same problem here 2.... after 3 months of hearin that noise.. i took my tranny out... and i seen that the bolts that hold the pressure plate to the flywheel for the modular style seemed like they were about to pop out.. imagine that would of happen to me while i was driving.... i would have my car in a fire tooo.... believe me i would sue, centerforce

what ever happened with your df clutch? j\w....

i have installed my spec stage 2 clutch..

it is lovely... j\w
