NT to Turbo 2G

I have a 98 RS and want to make it turbo. What I don't want to do is buy a kit because they mark it up for the exact fact that it is a kit. I have access to any parts I need, but was wondering exactly what it would be I need.

I am aiming for 200ish HP so i'm guessing like 5 or 6 PSI. I was wondering if the stock fuel pump could handle that increase. I assume that the 195 cc/min injectors will have to be replaced, and was also wondering if stock GS-T injectors would fit.

Other then that I have a T4 turbo from an audi lined up and will need to get custom headers for it. As well I am considering an intercooler, which will probobly just come from some random car I find and be custom mounted.

Other then this and piping what do I need? Just wanna make sure I didn't miss anything.

Stock fuel pump will handle up to about 8 psi same goes for the injectors. I don't beleive the injectors from a 4G63 will work but I am not sure. Go to the junk yard and get an old Mitsubishi Starion FMIC, it fits in perfect.

our stock fuel pump is NOT up to the task. All of the kits for our cars come with atleast an inline fuel pump if not more. I wouldnt push more than 6-7 lbs of boost with the stock injectors. Some have pushed the limit and are OK, but do you really want to risk your engine. Basically if I were you Id look at the components in the prefabbed kits and buy things according to what they have, these kits are proven to work. I know you will also need atleast a BOV and you will need some form of downpipe and something to control the fuel delivery (you cant just pump in 5-6lbs of boost with a stock fuel system and expect everything to be ok, you have to not only give the engine more fuel, but you also have to fool it into not seeing boost)

Stock injectors are 235 not 190. Expect spoolup to be about 4K RPM at the soonest w/ that T4. A custom turbo is a lot of work, planning, and headache. You can't just slap a turbo and new "headers" on and expect it to work (w/ out blowing up)

well i am currently starting in a month idc... what people say..... i am gonna start .... does anybody know if i need the missing link to run 5 pounds of boost?

when people go turbo why do they say to repalce the ecu or flash it why is it?

I don't know who says that, because you can't "flash" our ECU nor can you replace it with anything but howell's ECU which is not really effictive with turbo.

You will need a missing link to run any boost, or some other sort of FCD. Hey man we are not telling you to not do a custom kit, we are just asking you not to go from "what do I need to make a custom kit" to "I built my kit regardless of what you said" to "damn I blew up my engine". All we are saying is do LOT of research about what you are about to do. Go to www.2gnt.com and read everything in the turbo section.
