I saw and heard this guy's 98 GSX with the N1 and was blown away. When I purchased my car, it came with an ghetto-installed aftermarket muffler of unknown brand and its deep as hell, though not annoyingly buzzing or loud. I can shake my house and set off car alarms with it at 3k-4k.
I haven't been able to find an N1 muffler for NT DSM's. Would I be able to buy the universal model and do custom piping? Or would the eclipse turbo version work? My roommate can weld the pipes for me. What other components would I need? (header/downpipe/etc). My knowledge of exhaust systems is kinda limited. Sorry.

ya you can buy an Apex universal (Ebay)but you wont get the same effect of the cat back the GSX more than likely have the full catback. you can tell becuz if the exhaust is angled upward its catback, if you get it welded on it probably wont be...:|

this has got to be the 20th post I've seen on the N1, but just take the universla muffler, go to your local muffler shop and have them make you the rest of the system in your choice of diameter

thanks for the info. unfortunately we have a shortage of good muffler shops in town. i'll look around and see if anyone's worked with apexi before.

buy a pacesetter cat back, hack off the muffler and weld on a uni n1. make good welds and you have a 2.5in apexi cat back.

Don't cheap out and just buy the universal muffle nothing beats the look of having the muffler come out like ti does go for it and buy the entire cat-back muffler. i have mine brand new sitting in the basement waitin to get put on if u want some pics pm me and i will take some and put them on the internet. well good luck peace

im not talking about gettin just auni muffler. im talking about making your own cat back. since they dont sell the apexi for the n/t, you can take a pacesetter cat back exhaust, cut the muffler off with a nice straight cut, buy a apexi uni muffler, and weld a good seam with both straight cuts and you have your own cat back. if welded right it will be just like a straight pipe but it will be 2 mated together. its all in how you weld it and that makes how the piping will perform. if you have a good weld there will be no restriction in the piping itself and will flow just ass good as the pacesetter exhaust but it will have a way better muffler.
