Question

yo,
im just as interested in making the back light of my eclipse light up with the other two. I heard that all you have to do is get some bulbs that match the ones going to your other lights, drill a hole in the middle light, set up the bulbs where you want them and then splice the wires so they attach to your other bulbs. If anyone has done this it would be appreciated if you have a walkthrough or have done it and can give some advice thanks.

i read somewhere about the 3rd brake light mod. you pop the peice out, clean it off, and put some neons there and put it back.

i also had an idea for cold air intakes. i have an AEM and it's like all pipe, so i was thinking get some wide PVC pipe, some kinda end thing. drill a hole big enough for your intake pipe as well as saw it and the pipe in half. add like a hinge and connectors. so you can place it on the intake pipe and remove it also. but you gotta get pvc pipe big enough to fill it with ICE. and whamo, freezing cold air. for i'm guessing about $30, including ice.

It's clean cars like Shuwa's that make me miss my Eclipse. Anyway I would say a good fairly inexpensive mod to an N/T is the stock cat back exhaust off teh GS-T. it's bigger than the RS/GS and you could pick it up REAL cheap from those GS-T guys upgrading to a bigger exhaust.

Thumbs up home made mods is the best!

I'm all about that but not ### i'm short on cash. I want to do stuff myself if i can, ya know? i think ppl should do more of that sorta thing and not just hand it over to a shop and leave. there is no real bond between the driver and car that way. but it's just me

Yeah I agree with that. I did everything on my Eclipse save the oil feed line, fuel pump & FPR and you learn quite a bit about your car that way. Sure you can read this stuff but to read it is one thing - doing it is something totally different. Plus it's usually cheaper if you can do it

I know that some of the 2GNTs the throttle plate isn't always flat and can be slightly angled so if you get someone to do WoT (while the car's off mind you) you can check to see if it's not. If not then adjust the cable. Hardly any gains but costs $0.00

Well from what I've heard the throttle cable over time can stretch slightly causing the throttle plate to not be level so when you go WOT you're not really WOT. When i checked my 97 GS at 100k miles it was fine so I'm not sure conditions and such.

Lighting up the center piece

Hey, i'm going to be doing that pretty soon, when i do get it all done up, i'm going to post some photos if you people want and maybe a tutorial or somethin. I did my own needles on the gauges and so far ppl like hoe it looks. I am not sure if i can get some neons in there, i have opened it before and there are a LOT of bolts in there, so two medium ones wont fit, plus i measured it and the lights themselves even without the plastic tips on the ends are too long. I am going to see if i can figure out how to do it with some LED's. Leave it to me modders, i can get it, i'll figure that shit out. Maybe if it comes out good, and you like it but dont feel like doin the shit yourself, send me the centerpiece and i'll do it up for ya. But shh so far, dont tell the honda owners about our evil scheme on taking the looks world by storm with eclipses. heh-heh

well i guess this could be a "HOmade" mode mostly appearnce tho,

cost about 4 dollars depending on your state tax head down to the local Home depot and get yourself a piece of metal mesh style of pattern is personal prefernace then remove your front bumper 5 bolts 10 mm under hood and 2 on sides in wheel well while bumper is removed drill tiny holes in edge on inside of bumper cut mesh about a inch over all sides place mesh up aginst hole and attach it with a few strands of tie wire or "zip" ties and rebolt while front is removed good time to do the corner lense mod shuw29 posted you can also paint the black gaurd while u in there if u want color of your car looks nice i have a neon set in there and undergrounds so was pointless for me main reason for doin this would be if u ran your intake down under there and your filter sits behind those half moon shaped cuts keeps the rocks and stuff out and still allows maxim air flow =)

(dont ask why 1g wont let me change my name after i got a 2g mits )

The best free mod

Get some MP3s of BOV sounds and put it on a CD. We put that in my friend's car and turned the volume up very loud. Ghetto and ricey as hell, but we all had a very good laugh.

Of course we threw the CD away after we were done....or did we?
