Well i've already done a lot of searching and I read a lot of posts that were somewhat useful but they didn't quite answer what I was looking for, so I was wondering if anyone could answer these questions:

1. If i get an mpx 60mm throttle body and DO NOT bore out my intake mani will I notice an increase in performance and how much if so?

2. If i get a 55mm throttle body can i bore out my intake mani to 55mm with out adding extra material to the IM?

3. How much performance would I gain with the 55mm throttle body and intake mani bored out to 55mm?

4. If I got a mpx 60mm throttle body and had my intake mani bored out to 55 or 57 mm woul dI have to ass extra material to hte IM?

5. Will an mpx 60mm mm throttle body with a non-bored out intake mani give me more performance that a 55 tb and my intake mani also bored to 55?

What do you guys think the best overall way to get a good amount power is out of these options, or any other suggestions? Sorry if I am asking so many questions its just money is hard to come by and if i'm going to do something I want it done right the first time.

You should see slight performance gains by boring the TB without the IM but you gotta remember all that extra air you are sucking in will be bottlenecked, so you might aswell go ahead and do teh IM, it is normally only about 30-$50 to do a bore match.

As for the TB the size matters a lot, I have a 55TB (you won't have to add material to match the IM bore) and i notice better throttle response, and more torque especially at low end.

A lot of people also like the 60TB, the problem with this, is it can hamper your low end power, but in return you will see more high end gains. I don't beleive you need to add material to the IM to get this ported to match, but not 100% sure.

Regardless you should get the IM ported to match. Also think about what your goals/future plans are. If you plan on going turbo then deffinently go with the 60, you will want as much airflow as possible. If not and you want a daily driver, it is really a coinflip as to were you want your power, personally I like the 55tb, cause i like the low end, but that is just personal preference.

Hope this helps you some.

Thanks fotowntalon this helped alot! I don't want to loose anymore low end because thats what I was trying to gain. I am going to go with the 55mm throttle body and bore out my intake manifold. One more questions:

When i get the 55mm throttle body would I be able to bore out the intake manifold to 57mm and if so would that increase performance over just boring it to 55mm?

Thanks again.
